Okay so I’m seventeen years old
And you’re the last best thing i got going
But then the special secret sickness
Starts to eat through you
What am i supposed to do?
No way of knowing
So I follow you down your twisting alleyways
Find a few cul-de-sacs of my own
There’s only one place this road ever ends up
And I don’t wanna die alone
Let me down, let me down, let me down gently
When the police come to get me
I’m listening to dance music

The Mountain Goats - Dance Music

Ugh, absolutely.

Marc Cohn | Walking in Memphis

Best. Song. Of all. Time. The Cher version is superior, given that it’s Cher, but I will take this any day of the week. Beautiful. Beautiful.

This is definitely one of my favorite songs of all time.

I love this song. I learned how to play/sing it in junior high, and ever since it’s been my favorite solo piece.

“I think that’s what’s wrong with the world. No one says what they feel, they always hold it inside. They’re sad, but they don’t cry. They’re happy, but they don’t dance or sing. They’re angry, but they don’t scream. Because if they do, they feel ashamed. And that’s the worst feeling in the world. So everyone walks with their heads down and no one sees how beautiful the sky is.” —(via eletheowl) (via azurejbreezy) (via ger11) (via ripedpeach) (via laceyreynolds)

Jimmy Eat World - 23.

SONGS THAT REMIND ME OF AUTUMN #25.

“Amazing still it seems, I’ll be 23. I won’t always love what I’ll never have. I won’t always live in my regret.”

Anything off Futures reminds me of Fall. It also reminds me of my emo days. Still, awesome song. And if you’re turning 23, Happy B-Dubz!

Quirky Canadian Francophones for all. Plus, if you’re taking French classes, I can’t think of a better indie band to practice the language.
