something corporate - konstantine
oh hey, did anyone else ever listen to this song on repeat for hours in a dark bedroom while writing sad stories when they were sixteen or seventeen and thought an ex-boyfriend in high school was the end of the world? no? oh yeah, me neither. that’d be lame. i only listened to awesome punk rock, obviously. up the punx.
affirmative.
I downloaded the song that they used for the memorial video. :’[well, I don’t even need to finish that sentence, because if you watched it, YOU CRIED. End of discussion.
Does anyone here even know who Jordan Catalano is?
OH MY GOD I LOVED THAT SHOW.
my best friend/facebook wife owns the box set and every semester we do a marathon.
Honestly, with so many states legalizing gay marriage, change is happening a lot faster than any of us ever expected. The setbacks are blinding us to the victories. Suffrage, etc-it didn’t happen overnight. There are small victories, but they are victories indeed. Maybe we can look forward to there being a day where ignorance and intolerance are stories of the past.History has shown us as much. I think the upholding of Prop 8 is ridiculous because it infringes upon the rights of God knows how many Americans. I know that some of you are going to reply to this with things like “we want change now”. Well historically change doesn’t happen right away. We are progressing, (I think I heard something about a few more states legalizing gay marriage, right?) this is a minor step back in the progression of equal rights or all. Change is slow, but it will happen.
And your hair’s up, you wear a short dress and a wide smile. You’re movements are careless. It’s a daydream I keep having to make the clocks move while I’m working or a bad joke I can’t sit through and I smile because I feel like I have to. But if you’d look under the table you’d see I’m playing with my knife. I’m slicing stripes into my kneecaps and I’m struggling just to come off polite.
We could be a snapshot framed and hung like a portrait. What if that’s true and I’m the only one who knows it?
